APRIL 2011
Live music will stop after Saturday 9th
April 2011 due to noise restrictions imposed by the local Licensing
Authority. Doors and windows must be kept shut during the 2 hour
performances on a Saturday night and this is impossible during the
warmer weather. Hopefully music will recommence next autumn. Thank
you to all the wonderfully talented artists that have performed here
over the past 6 months.

The Windmill public house has recently celebrated a
decade of raising more than £13,000 in funds for the Shooting Star children's
hospice (see
www.shootingstar.org.uk)
On Wednesday December 22nd 2010, the annual Christmas raffle raised £339. Thank
you to all those that took part!

October 2010 - Fire in Bushy Park
What is left of
the Hampton Hill Cricket Pavilion in Bushy Park after it's destruction in a
major fire which was started around 2am on Sat 9 Oct 2010. Allegedly the police
had problems finding the keys to let the fire engines into the park to put the
fire out. Many irreplaceable items were lost in the fire such as trophies &
photographs but it was insured and plans are underway for the rebuild already.
Hampton Wick Cricket Club was also burned down in back 1989.
